MiniMax H3

MiniMax's Hailuo 3 video model, on Runway. Work from a prompt on its own, guide the shot with image, video and audio references, or set a first and last frame and let H3 generate the motion between them.

How to use MiniMax H3 on Runway

01

Describe the shot

Every H3 generation starts with text, up to 6,000 characters of it, so this is where the shot gets defined even when you plan to attach references as well.

02

Add references, or set keyframes

Bring up to 9 images, 3 clips and 3 audio takes as references, 12 files at most. Or switch to keyframes instead: a first frame, optionally a last frame, and H3 fills in the movement.

03

Set length and resolution

Pick any length from 5 to 15 seconds, then 768p while you are still iterating or 2K when you want the finished version. Six aspect ratios are available, from 21:9 through to 9:16.

What you can do with MiniMax H3

References across four media types

Text, images, video and audio all act as guidance in the same request, up to 12 reference files together. Reference clips can run from 2 to 15 seconds.

First and last frame control

Give H3 the frame a shot opens on and the frame it lands on, and it generates the movement between them. The output follows your frames, so the aspect ratio is set for you.

768p or 2K from the same model

Work at 768p while a shot is still changing, then re-run the version you want at 2K. No switching models between the rough pass and the final one.
