- Won’t it be obsolete when the next model ships?
- No. For fine-tuning use cases, new models won't have access to your proprietary data. Additionally, a licensed model earns its return well inside the research timeframe for future models, and annual renewal is built in. For deployment use cases, we provide credits for future model generations and most customers license the next generation model.
- Why pay when open source is free?
- Open source is a weaker base with no researcher support — you rebuild the pipeline, checkpoints and tuning yourself. We deliver a state-of-the-art model, the checkpoints and script to shape it, and engineers to get you there. You pay for time to value and quality.
- Couldn’t we just build our own?
- Only if you already are. Catching up means years of learning and hundreds of millions of dollars. We’re one of very few companies in the world licensing closed weights at this quality.
- Can we fine-tune it ourselves?
