A better way to add drivers to blocks
When you’re building in Runway, adding drivers to tables and charts is something you do all the time. So we've focused on making that experience faster, clearer, and easier to use.
Smarter search results
- Matches now prioritize the start of words, not the full string — so searching for “New R” returns New Revenue, not New Customers.
- Results are now ranked more intuitively — Revenue by Source shows up before New Revenue when you search for "Revenue."
- Sub-drivers only appear if your query includes their specific attribute — making the list shorter and more focused on what you're actually looking for.
These changes apply to the driver search menu and global search.
Redesigned, keyboard-first search menu
We've redesigned the driver search menu with a new layout that's easier to scan — and fully keyboard-friendly.
- Matching terms are underlined to help you visually scan results faster.
- We've made it easier to see where each driver lives — we now show which model, page, or database it's connected to.
- Sub-drivers are now grouped under their parent, making it easier to scan and select. You can add individual drivers by selecting the checkbox next to each one — or select the parent checkbox to add/remove the entire group at once.
